Environmental Laboratories Meeting

February 10, 2011

The MPCA has invited environmental laboratories to a discussion with MPCA staff directed toward assisting MPCA with certain policy documents.  Interested persons are asked to contact Luke Charpentier at 651-757-2268 or Luke.Charpentier@state.mn.us to RSVP and receive additional documentation.  The meeting will take place in conference room 1-2 at the MPCA, 520 Lafayette Road in St. Paul.  Although the invitation is open, space is very limited so RSVPs are requested.  The items to be discussed include the following:

a.       Review and update MPCA laboratory policies posted on the internet
b.      Review and finalize the Laboratory Quality Control (QC) policy
c.       Review the working relationship between MPCA and the labs.  This includes communications, website design, links to other sites, handouts / a booklet of information labs can use from MPCA, certification issues, and alternate test procedures (ATPs), etc.
d.      MDH has requested assistance with their public health design from the laboratory community which this group could lend assistance.  This task would be directed by MDH.

For those interested, the participants will have lunch locally after the meeting has concluded.

Members who wish to view the MPCA’s policies directly and provide comment can find more information in the Members Section.
